A traffic stop made Thursday led Fort Payne police to make one arrests on outstanding warrants and the subsequent investigation led to another arrest of a Fort Payne homeowner, according to Chief Detective Josh York.
Investigators made the traffic stop on Deir Drive NE and found that occupant Ronald Ernest Pick Jr., 43, of Fort Payne, had outstanding warrants for second-degree Rape and first-degree Possession of Marijuana. After a search of the vehicle, additional charges – three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance – were lodged against Pick.
Also as a result of the traffic stop, a search warrant was issued for a residence on County Road 1006. After the search, the homeowner, Lisa Diane Goldman, 43, of Fort Payne, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Hindering Prosecution 1st , Obstructing Government Operations, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Both subjects were transferred to DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting bond.
