The DeKalb County Public Library is serving as a drop-off location for hurricane relief items. The library is located at 504 Grand Avenue NW in Fort Payne.
The library is open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4:45 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
Among the most needed items are winter clothing.
Items accepted include:
Gently Used Winter hoodies, jackets, sweatshirts, clothes, toboggans, gloves, shoes, boots and blankets;
Canned meat and soups with pull tabs;
Crackers, snacks and beef jerky;
Toiletries and hygiene supplies;
Adult and baby diapers and wipes;
Baby formula, food, wash, powder, and diaper rash cream;
Work gloves and work boots;
Tarps and Camping supplies;
Pet food;
Child’s activity items like markers, notepads, barbies and toy trucks.
