RAINSVILLE, Ala.—The Rainsville Freedom Run 10K and 5K, is a month away and Race Coordinator Jerry Clifton wants to remind everyone of some very important dates. May 31, 2017 is the last day to register with early bird pricing of $30. After June 1, 2017 the price to register goes up to $35. The run will be held on June 17, at 8 am. There will also be a drop box to donate any items to Operation Christmas Child. OCC is a organization that helps deliver shoeboxes packed with toys and supplies for children in Third World countries.
The Rainsville Freedom Run will only have 1,000 participants this year. The race is closing in on 500 registered. Registering before June 3, 2017 will insure a correct size t-shirt. Mail in registration closes at 10 p.m. CST on June 15, 2017.
The race is open to walkers and runners alike. They will be more cash and door prizes than ever before. Race forms can be obtained at First State Bank, Carpet Center or www.rainsvillefreedomfest.racesonline.com
