CROSSVILLE, Ala. -- The Plainview Varsity Volleyball Team won the DeKalb County Championship over the weekend. Saydi Jackson was named the Tournament MVP.
The Lady Bears faced the Ider Hornets in the first matchup of the tournament. The Lady Bears defeated Ider in Set 1: 25-9 and in Set 2: 25-13.
The Lady Bears then took on the Fyffe Lady Devils, defeating them in both sets; Set 1: 25-18 and in Set 2: 25-18.
The Lady Bears lost to the Geraldine Lady Bulldogs in both sets. Set 1: 20-25 and Set 2: 17-25.
The Lady Bears faced Fyffe again in the semi-finals and won Set 1: 25-16, and Set 2: 25-14.
The Lady Bears faced the Geraldine Lady Bulldogs in the Championship Series. The Lady Bears won the Championship Game 1-Set 1: 25-22, Set 2: 25-23.
For Championship Game 2, the Lady Bears defeated the Lady Bulldogs, Set 1: 25-13, Set 2 23-25, and Set 3: 15-10 to claim the DeKalb County Championship.
