USA — On Wednesday, Walmart, the nation's largest retailer, announced it will begin requiring masks or face coverings to be worn in its stores beginning on Monday, July 20.

"To help bring consistency across states and clubs, we will require all shoppers to wear a face covering starting Monday, July 20," the company said in a statement. "This will give us time to inform customers and members of the changes, post signage and train associates on the new protocol."

"We are currently considering different solutions for customers when this requirement takes effect," the company added. A "health ambassador" will be posted at the front of the store to remind those without a mask to cover their faces.

In addition, all stores will now have a single entrance to make mask enforcement easier. Sam's Club members will be provided a face mask if they do not have one.
