JACKSONVILLE, Ala.-- The Plainview Varsity Bears defeated the Piedmont Bulldogs, 67-48, to win the Class 3A Northeast Regional Championship at Pete Mathews Coliseum in Jacksonville on Thursday. 

The Plainview Bears had a 30-23 lead at halftime. In the third quarter, they gained a 50-31 advantage over the Bulldogs. Piedmont and Plainview both scored 17 points in the fourth quarter. 

Landon White led the Plainview Bears with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Jonah Williams had four three-pointers and a total of seventeen points for the game.  Dylan Haymon had thirteen points and two three-pointers. 

The Plainview Bears (29-6) will advance to the AHSAA Class 3A State Semifinals at the BJCC Legacy Arena in Birmingham, on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. The Plainview Bears will face the Sumter Central Jaguars (14-4).  The game will be covered live on 98-3 Wild Country.
