PISGAH, Ala.-- The Pisgah Eagles defeated the Ider Hornets 28-6 on Friday and were awarded the Southern Torch Team of the Week for their efforts.
With 4:23 remaining in the first quarter, Legion McCrary ran in the 20-yard touchdown and the two-point conversion to take the 8-0 lead. Mason Holcomb made the 49-yard pass connection to Grant Smith for an Eagle touchdown with :05 remaining in the first. McCrary brought in the two-point conversion to end the first with a 16-0 advantage.
After a back-and-forth on downs, the Pisgah Eagles carried the 16-0 lead into the half.
After a 12- play, 83-yard drive, Ryhan Barrett scored on a 5-yard touchdown run to advance the Eagles to a 22-0 lead, with 4:21 remaining in the third.
With 3:37 remaining in the fourth quarter, Matt Norman crashed in from 3-yards out for the Ider Hornet touchdown. Parker Law brought it in from the 2-yards out for the Eagle touchdown, with 2:02 remaining to make the final score Pisgah 28, Ider 6.
