FYFFE, Ala.-- The Fyffe Red Devils celebrated Homecoming with a 50-0 win against rival Collinsville. 

The Red Devils started their attack early with a 19-yard touchdown by Brody Hicks. Kyle Dukes brought in the two-point conversion to take the 8-0 lead with 8:09 remaining in the first. Hicks scored again on a 7-yard scamper into the endzone. Logan Anderson brought in the two-point conversion to give the Red Devils the 16-0 lead with 3:52 remaining in the opening quarter.  

Will Stephens scored on a 23-yard stampede down the field with 3:22 remaining in the second quarter. The point-after attempt failed but gave the Red Devils the 22-0 advantage. With 6:32 remaining in the first half, Anderson crashed into the endzone from 9-yards out. The point-after attempt failed but gave the Red Devils the 36-0 lead going into intermission. 

Stephens returned the third-quarter opening kickoff, 92 yards for the touchdown. The point-after kick by Yahir Balcazar was good to give the Red Devils the 43-0 lead.  

Aubrey Barker connected on a 6-yard pass to Owen Blackwell for the score, with 5:05 remaining in the game. The point-after kick by Jesse Martin made the final score, 50-0. 

The Red Devils completed 25 first-downs to the Panthers 1. Brody Hicks led the Fyffe Red Devils with 96 yards on ten attempts and two touchdowns. Logan Anderson had 84 yards on 8 attempts with one touchdown. Kaden Sharpe led on defense with 6 tackles.

“I thought we came out of the tunnel playing hard and physical,” stated Fyffe Head Coach Paul Benefield. “Our lineman came off the ball pretty good and the backs ran hard. Our defense is getting better and our special teams played well.”

Fyffe will travel to take on the Sylvania Rams on Friday.  Collinsville will host Brindlee Mountain for their Homecoming game.
