Sardis has found their next head football coach and his name is Wes Tidwell. Tidwell coached the Ragland Purple Devils from 2021-2025 and finished with a 31-25 overall record. Tidwell led Ragland to playoff appearances in all five of his seasons there, getting one playoff win in 2021 over Valley Head.

In 2025, Tidwell led the Purple Devils to a 5-6 record before losing in the first round to Addison. Tidwell is set to replace B.J. Brooks who had previously been the Lions head coach for the past three seasons. Brooks, who left earlier this month to become the head coach at Glencoe, had a 10-20 overall record during his tenure.

Tidwell will look to bring Sardis back to the playoffs for the first time since 2019.
