The Rainsville City Council presented a draft of their ordinance to be used if the alcohol vote passes on November 4.
The citizens of Rainsville will choose whether or not they want the sale of alcohol to take place in their community, but "restriction" seemed to be the key word used when discussing the issue on Monday night.
"It's going to be even more restrictive in the city of Rainsville."
"250 feet...that's a little bit farther than all other municipalities. The city of Cullman is 200 feet. The city of Fort Payne is 200 feet. The city of Albertville is 200 feet. We wanted to go above and beyond what they did...we want ours to be a little be more restrictive."
"We put heavy restrictions on advertising. No public advertising whatsoever. You cannot display a sign inside the store facing the outside of the front wall."
