Special to The Reporter
Mountain Valley Arts Council’s free Fall Concert series will feature Groove at Errol Allan Park at the corner of Gunter Avenue and Taylor Street in Guntersville on Thursday, October 9th from 6:30 – 8:30 PM with high hopes for no rain. Bring your folding chairs, friends, and donations. Lena’s Rolling Kitchen will be providing concessions.
The band Groove got its start back in January 2007. Since then, they have refined the band lineup to include both male and female lead vocalists which provides the versatility to play a wide variety of 60s to present day dance-pop and funk cover standards.
The band is composed of Toni Hamilton on vocals, Lawrence Crawford on guitar and vocals, David Hughes on bass and vocals, Derrik Anderson on drums, Danny Bealer/Xavier Newsome on keyboards and vocals.
Mark your calendars for the next three Thursday evenings since the concert series will continue on Thursdays through October 30th. In case of bad weather, any change of venue will be posted on Facebook and mvacarts.org/concerts on Thursday afternoon.
This concert is free to the public through the generosity of MVAC members, donors, corporate sponsors, and grants from the Marshall County Foundation for the Arts, Alabama State Council on the Arts, and the City of Guntersville.
