RAINSVILLE, Ala. — The City of Rainsville will be unveiling the new Rainsville Veteran's Memorial on Veterans Day (This Friday) at 12:00 pm. The memorial is located in the City Park, behind the Tom Bevill Enrichment Center.
All handicap parking will be in the City Park area. Event organizers ask all others to please use the Bevill Center, Rainsville Police Department, or City Hall parking lots.
The memorial is the result of a volunteer effort to construct a memorial in the city park honoring veterans from the area. Work was completed by volunteers and funds for the project were obtained through donations from the public.
The memorial will feature flags representing each branch of the armed forces, and will list names of area veterans.
