RAINSVILLE, Ala. — In a special council meeting held Monday night at the Tom Bevill Enrichment Center, The City of Rainsville swore in Roger Lingerfelt as the new Mayor along with Marshall Stiefel, Bejan Taheri, Ricky Byrum, Brandon Freeman, and Derek Rosson as the City's new council.

The new council approved a one time pay raise for city employees, appointed department heads, and made council assignments.

Also, a motion to change the meeting times to 4:15 pm for the work session and 5:00 pm for the regular meeting was denied by Place 1 Councilman Marshall Stiefel. See the full video below!
