DeKALB COUNTY, Ala. — Northeast Alabama Community College is pleased to announce that Rev. James Woodin will speak at the Veterans Appreciation Week reception to be held on Thursday, November 7th, at 10 a.m.
Rev. James Woodin made Alabama his home upon retiring from the U.S. Navy in 1995. He entered Pastoral Ministry in 1998 as a part of the North Alabama Conference of United Methodist Churches. He is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. He is also a graduate of Emory University, Candler School of Theology’s Ministerial Course of Study. Woodin was appointed as the Executive Director of the Upper Sand Mountain United Methodist Larger Parish Inc., in June of 2015.
Everyone is welcome to join us in celebrating all veterans for their service to our country. Below is a list of the daily activities.
Monday November 4th — Bake Sale 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Free coffee for veterans and veteran dependents at Kahva.
- American Flag lapels will be available at the bake sale.
Tuesday November 5th — Bake Sale 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Silent Auction 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Free coffee for veterans and veteran dependents at Kahva.
- American Flag lapels will be available at the bake sale.
Wednesday November 6th — Silent Auction 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Thursday November 7th — Reception for veterans at 10:00 a.m. in NACC Tom Bevill Lyceum.
In addition to the above, all week long the college will be “green lighting” the campus at night in honor of veterans.
