Scottsboro teams sweep Scottsboro Invitational titles

SHS athletes claim 16 event victories

Scottsboro track and field athletes have a history of putting together stellar performances during the annual Scottsboro Invitational. 

The 2025 SHS track and field teams lived up to the trend on Saturday.

SHS athletes combined to win 16 events while helping Scottsboro sweep the team titles during the meet Saturday Trammell Stadium.

Scottsboro won the girls division with a team score of 142.5, 37 points in front of runner-up Whitesburg Christian. Meanwhile, the SHS Boys won their division with a score of 228, well in front of second-place Westminster Christian (85).

Multiple Scottsboro athletes posted multiple event wins.

Tyler Shelton won three events while Quincie Franklin and Jake Jones won two events each for the SHS Boys, while Mia Martin was part of two event wins for the SHS Girls.

In all, Scottsboro had 26 Top-5 finishes and 39 total Top-10 finishes in the boys division and 19 Top-5s and 30 total Top-10 finishes in the girls division.
