SYLVANIA, Ala. — The Sylvania Rams defeated the Pisgah Eagles, 55-24 on Friday night.

The Rams held the Eagles to a three-and-out on their first series. Kennan Wilbanks took it down the field for 64 yards to set up the Gareth Anderson 1-yard gallop into the endzone with 8:57 remaining in the first. With 4:56 remaining in the first, Anderson scored his second touchdown of the night, on a 45-yard stampede into the endzone. With 2:50 remaining in the first, Pisgah answers with a 1-yard scamper into the endzone.  The Eagles went for two but were unsuccessful, making the score 14-6. After a 6-play drive, the Rams scored on a 4-yard touchdown by Levi Anderson. The extra point failed but gave the Rams the 20-6 advantage at the end of the first quarter. 

The Eagles scored with 11:46 remaining in the first half on a 1-yard shuffle into the endone. The Eagles went for two but were unsuccessful. With 9:22 remaining in the second quarter, the Rams fumbled the ball into the endzone but was recovered for the score, by Mason Sanders. The extra point attempt was good, giving the Rams the 27-12 lead.  Jordan Johnson scored, for the Rams, on a 30-yard pass connection from Brody Smith. With 4:15 remaining in the half, Sanders added more points on the board with a 5-yard carry into the endzone, making the score 41-12. Pisgah answered back, with a 38-yard strike for the touchdown. With 2:56 remaining in the half, Sylvania charged down the field and scored on a 9-yard pass connection from Smith to Johnson. The extra point was successful and the Rams took the 48-18 lead into the half.  

Sylvania controlled the clock in the third and scored on a 10-yard touchdown by Levi Anderson. Pisgah scored their final touchdown of the night, with 2:33 remaining in the third, on a 3-yard touchdown, to make the final score, 55-24.

The Rams will host the Geraldine Bulldogs on Friday night. Both teams are tied for second place in Class 3A, Region 7. The winner of this game will host the first-round of playoffs.
