SYLVANIA, Ala. — The Sylvania Rams fell to Susan Moore in their Class 3A, Region 7 opener.
The Bulldogs scored first with 5:50 remaining in the first quarter. The extra point was good, giving the Bulldogs the early 7-0 lead.
With 4:25 remaining in the first half, the Bulldogs bulldozed down the field on an 88-yard touchdown run. The PAT was good and the Bulldogs carried the 14-0 advantage into the half.
To start the second half, the Bulldogs scored on a 25-yard pass connection with 8:07 remaining in the third quarter. The kick was good, giving Susan Moore the 21-0 lead. At the end of the third, Junior Gareth Anderson intercepted a Bulldog pass at the 25-yard line. Senior, Mason Sanders brought it in to score the final touchdown of the night. A fumble that was recovered by Susan Moore sealed the region victory for the Bulldogs.
Sylvania will try to rebound as they host Gaston on Friday.
