ASBURY, Ala. — The Geraldine Bulldogs defeated the Asbury Rams, 47-0 on Friday night.
With 7:06 remaining in the first quarter, Anthony Baldwin scored from 8-yards out to give Geraldine the 7-0 lead. Baldwin scored again on a 6-yard run to give the Bulldogs the 14-0 advantage over the Rams with 3:27 left in the first quarter. Troy Willoughby recovered an Asbury fumble. Sebastian Totherow dashed into the endzone from 5-yards out making the score 21-0 with 3:27 remaining in the first.
With 11:15 remaining in the second quarter Bo Harper found Totherow with a 26-yard pass to extend the lead to 27-0. Baldwin scored on a 35-yard run making the score 34-0 with 9:24 left in the first half. Geraldines’ Carlos Mann recovered a fumble. Drew Fowler found his way into the endzone to make the score 41- 0 at the half.
The only touchdown of the second half was in the third quarter with 4:49 remaining, when Geraldines’ Erik Garcia scored on a 25-yard run to make the final score 47-0.
The Geraldine Bulldogs will travel to Sardis to take on the Lions on Friday night.
