Candidate Johnny C. Cochran Visits Fort Payne & Gadsden

Submitted / Special to the Torch

Johnny C. Cochran is the Libertarian Party candidate in a three-way race for Alabama’s U.S. Congressional District Four. This past weekend he had several stops in the Fort Payne & Gadsden areas.

“This past weekend meeting folks along the World’s Longest Yard Sale reaffirmed the theory behind my candidacy. Alabamians are hurting from inflation, and they are sick and tired of both Democrats & Republicans in Washington, D.C.” Cochran said. “The biggest challenge is just raising awareness of my campaign.  I don’t have that Alexander Shunnarah money to put up billboards everywhere or to buy ads on television.  However, almost every single individual regardless of political party that I’ve had the opportunity to speak with directly have indicated that they are open to voting for Johnny C. Cochran”.

Cochran is claiming to be the most accessible candidate in the race, willing to answer all questions sent to him.  “People can e-mail me their questions and I promise to answer them. I’m in the process of recording a series of small videos on topics that can be found on our campaign YouTube channel” Cochran said.  According to his campaign webpage, his next two events include being at the Franklin County Watermelon Festival August 19th & 20th and an online virtual Town Hall event Saturday August 27th.

Cochran (38) is a Tuscaloosa resident, husband, and father of two. His primary reason for running is the cost of everything rising rapidly over the last few years due to federal government overspending and overreach.

Details of Cochran’s campaign as well as a sign-up form for his events and mailing list can be found on his campaign website, JohnnyCCochran4AL.com.
