Last Fire Victim Identified by DSCO

FORT PAYNE, Ala. — According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office (DSCO), the identity of the fifth victim of last week's Highway 75 structure fire has been confirmed.

The fifth victim of last Thursday’s fatal fire has been confirmed as Cody Alexander Dove (27 of Flat Rock) by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences. This subject was the boyfriend of Kayla Jackson who lived at the residence.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office stated they were still investigating the fire and are awaiting the determination of the Fire Marshall.

As previously reported, four of the five victims of the fire near the Georgia state line were identified earlier this week as Kayla Jackson (age 26), Kaylon Stotts (age 4), Jaycee Stotts (age 3), and Harley Stotts (age 18 months).
