RAINSVILLE, Ala. — According to Rainsville Police Chief Michael Edmondson, on Wednesday, November 11, the Rainsville Police Department received a call to a residence on Hancock Drive about a potential armed robbery in progress with multiple injuries.
On-scene, officers with the Rainsville Police Department (RPD) made contact with the homeowner reporting he had been robbed. Upon entry into the home, officers found two (2) male suspects that had been stabbed. Further investigation resulted in the discovery that two (2) more suspects had fled the scene.
RPD secured the scene and DeKalb Ambulance Service (DAS) transported both injured suspects to Huntsville Hospital.
Malik Zachariah Deno and Thomas Norman Olsen were arrested on the charges of robbery, burglary, and criminal mischief. They were placed in the DeKalb County Jail after being released from the hospital. The following day, Nathaniel Blevins and a juvenile female were arrested on the same charges.
In unrelated news, RPD officers and detectives have been following up on complaints in the surrounding communities with the following arrests made:
- Alisha Marie Bradford: drug paraphernalia, marijuana (sale and distribution), and possession of a controlled substance
- Ethan Cole Lemoin: drug paraphernalia, marijuana (sale and distribution), and possession of a controlled substance
- Gabriel Tanner Hall: drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and possession of a concealed weapon
- Derrick Lynn Martin: theft by deception 1st and obscuring the identity of a vehicle
“I would like to thank all our officers for their hard work and countless hours of dedication they put into these arrests,” said Chief Edmondson. “In addition, I want to thank the Fort Payne Police Department, the District Attorney’s Office, and the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the robbery case. Cases go smoother and arrests are made quicker with everyone working together.”
