DeKALB COUNTY, Ala. — The DeKalb County Board of Education will sell several surplus items by sealed bid next month.

The following items will be bid out: 

  • Drivers Education vehicle (DE 40 2001 Ford Taurus, 99,734 miles)
  • Drivers Education vehicle (DE 42 2001 Ford Taurus, 85,034 miles)
  • Drivers Education vehicle (DE 33 2001 Ford Taurus, 114,458 miles)
  • Drivers Education vehicle (DE 36 2001 Ford Taurus, 120,614 miles)
  • Transportation truck - 14 (2003 Ford F250 4x4, 185,710 miles)
  • Maintenance truck - 3 (Dodge 2500, 216,829 miles)
  • Bus, Type C, Short (98-7 1998 International Amtran, 207,111 miles)

All bids must be sealed with "DeKalb Surplus Sale Bid" on the outside of the sealed envelope. Submissions must include bidder's name, address, phone number, the item you're interested in, and the price the bidder is willing to pay. Send all bids to Transportation Supervisor Keith Atchley at 433 Roy Sanderson Ave., Rainsville, Ala. 35986. 

Bids will be opened on Tuesday, July 7 at 10 a.m. at the DeKalb County Bus Garage. Purchased items must be paid for and removed from the premises by July 14, 2020.

The DeKalb County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
