GERALDINE, Ala. — The Southern Torch Coach of the Week is Brad Waldrop, Head Coach for the Geraldine Football team.

Coach Waldrop graduated from Sylvania High School where he was a standout football player.  After several years in the workforce, Waldrop pursued his dream and went back to college.  He obtained a math degree from Athens State University.

Waldrop has been married to his wife, Ashley for seventeen years.  They have three sons: Styles, Slaytor, and Sander.

Waldrop’s favorite quote is, “Excuses are monuments of nothingness, used to build bridges to nowhere, those who use them are seldom good at anything else.
