The Albertville High School Alumni Hall of Fame awards dinner is set for Jan. 25 at the Lumpkin House in Albertville. The event, hosted by the Albertville City Schools Foundation, will honor four new inductees and their contributions in the fields of social work, civil service, education, and healthcare.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce this year’s class of inductees,” said Joyce Bishop, board president for the Albertville City Schools Foundation. “Each year, we are blown away by the achievements and contributions Albertville alumni have made in their respective fields, and this class is no different. The awards dinner is an amazing and inspiring event that makes you proud to be part of the Albertville family and community.”
This year’s inductees include
• Stacey Johnson, social worker and Director of Bereavement Services for Shepherd’s Cove Hospice;
• Tim Mitchell, retired Marshall County probate judge;
• Gene Allen Smith, author, professor, and Director of the Center for Texas Studies at Texas Christian University; and
• Brooke Reeves Vining, nurse anesthetist and Associate Vice President of Perioperative Services for UAB Hospital.
On Jan. 26, the Hall of Fame inductees will share their stories with Albertville High School students at a school assembly.
“The Hall of Fame is more than just a celebration of these four individuals,” Bishop said. “It’s an opportunity to show Albertville students what’s possible if they work hard, believe in themselves, and follow their passions. We hope our current students leave the assembly feeling inspired to chase their dreams and make a difference in the world.”
The awards dinner is scheduled to begin with a hospitality hour and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. The induction ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 each. Deadline to purchase is Jan. 15. For more information, visit theacsfoundation.com/hall-of-fame.
