DEKALB CO., Ala—The DeKalb County BOE announced at a board meeting Thursday night that all schools in the DeKalb County Schools system will be closing at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, Friday Jan. 22 in anticipation of severe winter storms.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow in areas throughout North Alabama, including DeKalb County. The advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. on Friday to 6 a.m. on Saturday. We will continue to provide information as this story develops.
