Breaking: Rhonda Jill Johnson

Southern Torch has learned from a source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, that Rhonda Jill Johnson was hospitalized in Huntsville over the weekend for a  'possible drug overdose' and placed on life support.

Johnson has now been taken off of life support and her vital signs are currently stable.

The Attorney General's Office has placed armed guards outside of Johnson's room and forbid anyone other than the medical staff to enter.

It is believed that Johnson left a suicide letter that is now in the hands of the authorities.

On April 23, Johnson and former Senator Lowell Barron were charged with six counts of ethics laws violations and violations of the Fair Campaign Practices Act.
