RAINSVILLE, Ala. — The Cornerstone Christian Academy Eagles fell to the Clay County Eagles, 58-30.

Clay County outscored the Cornerstone Christian Eagles, 25-6 in the first quarter.  Cornerstone scored when Lucas Hale connected with Eli Carter on a 22-yard touchdown pass, making the score 25-12.  

In the second quarter, Clay County scored three touchdowns. Tristian Johnson blocked the point-after attempt to make the score, 46-12 at the half. 

To start the second half, Clay County scored another touchdown.  Layne Fortner scored on a 30-yard touchdown pass from Hale. 

In the fourth, Clay County returned the kickoff for their final score of the evening.  Cornerstone added two more scores, one from 38-yards by Fortner and the other by Tristian Johnson. 

Lucas Hale finished with 195 yards and two touchdowns.  Layne Fortner had 79 yards ad two scores.  

Cornerstone will host Brooklane on Friday night.
