Sylvania 67-Collinsville 56

RAINSVILLE, Ala.- The Sylvania Rams defeated  the Collinsville Panthers, Tuesday night in the first round of the Dekalb County Varsity Boys Basketball Tournament 67-56.

The Collinsville Panthers jumped to an early lead in the first quarter with a score of 17-11 against the Rams.  In the second, the Rams gained momentum and outscored the Panthers 21-8 in the second.  Going into the half the score was Sylvania 32, Collinsville 25.

Coming back from the intermission, Collinsville outscored the Rams 20-17 in the third.  The Rams charged ahead in the fourth and won with a score of 67-56.

Two Sylvania players scored in the double digits.  Dawson Hill led the Rams with 25 points and 8 rebounds.  Caleb Roebuck had 14 points and had 5 rebounds.

The Rams advance to take on Plainview, Friday night in the semifinals at 6:00 pm.
