HOLLY POND, Ala. — The Sylvania Rams defeated the Holly Pond Broncos, 42-12 on Friday night.
The Rams brutally attacked the Broncos, scoring five touchdowns in the first half. The Rams jumped to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. The Broncos got on the board, at the top of the second quarter. The Rams scored, with 9:22 remaining in the first half, to make the score 27-6. With 6:24 remaining before intermission, the Rams had the 35-6 advantage over Holly Pond.
To start the second half, the Rams scored with 6:50 remaining in the third quarter to take the 42-6 lead. Holly Pond brought the score to 42-12 with 10:39 remaining in the game.
Keenan Wilbanks led the Rams with 93 yards, scoring a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown. Braiden Thomas had 64 yards on seven carries and scored two touchdowns for the Rams. Sawyer Hughes had an interception and scored a touchdown. Blake Phillips returned a Bronco fumble for a Ram touchdown.
Sylvania will be on the road this week as they travel to face the Asbury Rams.
