JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — The Plainview Bears fell to the Midfield Patriots in the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Regional Semifinal game at Jacksonville State University.
Midfield led by 6 in the first quarter before ending with a 17-13 advantage over the Bears.
Plainview battled back, outscoring the Patriots 14-12 in the second quarter, going into the half with only a 2 point deficit.
The Plainview Bears made 5-of-14 three-pointers in the first half. Cole Millican led the Bears with 10 points, followed closely behind with 9 points and four rebounds by Tristian Willingham.
Plainview outscored Midfield, 17-9 in the third quarter. The fourth quarter was a battle and as the time ran out the score was tied 54-54.
In the first overtime, each team scored 2-points. In the second overtime, Midfield edged out the Bears by one point, ending the game with a score of 65-64.
The Bears finished the night with 10-of-32 three-pointers. Cole Millican finished the night with 27 points and nine rebounds.
