RAINSVILLE, Ala.— The Sylvania Lady Rams faced the Geraldine Lady Bulldogs in the first round of the Dekalb County Tournament, Monday night. The top-seeded Rams pulled off the victory with a score of 52-28.
The Rams jumped to a 17-10 lead in the first quarter. They maintained their lead throughout the remainder of the ballgame. They went into the half with the score of 25-17. At the end of the third, the Rams led 37-19, only allowing the Bulldogs to score 2 points. The Rams managed to extend the lead by 24 points to win.
Morgan Frazier led the Rams with 11 points. Jenny Sweeting added 8 points to the board. Following close behind were Madison Burt and Bethany Davis with seven points each.
The Lady Rams will face Collinsville in the semifinals of the Dekalb County Basketball Tournament, Thursday night at 7:30 pm.
