Fyffe Red Devils (12-0) at Tanner Rattlers (11-2)
DeKalb's last man standing...Coach Paul Benefield.
The Red Devils will get their shot at redemption on Friday night as they make the trip to Tanner for the State Playoff Quarterfinals.
The Rattlers knocked off Fyffe in the semi's last season and went on to win the State Championship. This Tanner team has picked up right where they left off and have posted a 52-7 win over Ider and a 41-14 win over Randolph this postseason. Don't be fooled by the two losses, there's no cream puffs on the Rattlers schedule. One of their regular season losses actually came at Colbert County in Overtime, 56-50.
The Red Devils have been absolutely dominating all season long, with a game never even being in question in the 2nd Half of 2014...a dominance that I've never witnessed this deep into any season by any team.
Fyffe has stayed relatively healthy, and unless they lose a key starter like Stiefel or Newsome, I expect them to finish the season undefeated.
As good as these teams have been defensively, they're both averaging 50+ PPG on the offensive side of the ball, so this one should be a barn burner.
