FORT PAYNE, Ala.—Glen Hicks of Trenton will take over the Class 6A, Fort Payne Wildcats Basketball team starting next school year.

Hicks comes to Fort Payne after one year at South Pittsburg. He previously coached for Dade County High School between the years of 2003-2015. Prior to moving to Dade County High School, he coached at North Sand Mountain.

Hicks holds the record for most County Championship wins and boasts 694 career wins.  He was awarded the Coach of the Year in 1993.

Southern Torch welcomes Coach Hicks and wishes him the best of luck in his upcoming Wildcat season.
