GERALDINE, Ala.—The Sylvania Junior Varsity Baseball team, coached by Nelson Gregory and Danny Moon, won the Dekalb County Invitational Tournament recently.  The Rams beat Geraldine in first round of play but was defeated by Ider,  placing them in the loser’s bracket.  After defeating Fyffe, the Rams played two back-to-back games against Ider to win the championship.   Sylvania Junior Varsity Rams has a 15-2 record and will finish up their season this week with two games against North Sand Mountain.

“The boys never cease to amaze me” said Head Coach Nelson Gregory. “Instead of getting down after they received their first loss of the year, they rallied and played three straight to win the tournament. I am proud of everyone-the boys, the coaches and especially the fans.”
