JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — The Collinsville Lady Panthers (26-3) defeated the LaFayette Bulldogs (13-12), 59-38 in the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Regional Semifinal game on Friday.
LaFayette had the one-point advantage as the first quarter ended with a score of 11-10. The Bulldogs advantage was short-lived and they only lead for 4:26 before the Lady Panthers took charge of the game.
Collinsville outscored their opponent, 19-12 in the second and went into the half with the 29-23 advantage.
Tyla Tatum led the Lady Panthers in the first half with 7 points. Hadley Hamilton had 6 points and 5 rebounds.
Collinsville dominated the third quarter outscoring the Bulldogs, 21-8.
The Collinsville Lady Panthers held the Bulldogs in the fourth to only 7 points, defeating them 59-38 to advance to the Regional Championship.
Tatum finished the night with 17 points. Hamilton and Brittany Rivera each had 12 points. Rivera finished the game with 8 rebounds.
The Lady Panthers will face a familiar foe in the game, the Sand Rock Wildcats. The game will be on February 18 at 4:00 pm.
