JACKSON COUNTY, Ala. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for missing 61-year-old Jimmy Wayne McCarson.

McCarson has been missing for two weeks after getting his automobile stuck at the Fabius Coal Mine. He went for a walk and never returned.

Jackson County Sheriff Chuck Phillips stated, “It’s a very remote area, lots of roads, lots of four-wheeler trails.” He said that his office is not giving up hope and will not end their search and rescue efforts for McCarson.

McCarson has lived in the area for many years.
