On April 6, the Rainsville City Council met at the Agribusiness Center.
 
During the workshop session, The Times Journal honored Mayor Nick Jones and Councilwoman Melissa Ledbetter with the announcement that they had made the "40 Under 40" list.
 
Jones was also awarded "Best Mayor in DeKalb County" for the second straight year.
 
The award is presented to 40 recipients under the age of 40 for their leadership, service and commitment to progress in DeKalb County.
