PREP FOOTBALL HONOR ROLL: Edmondson helps Wildcats run past Guntersville in key region win

The Scottsboro football team leaned on its offensive line and running back Jacobi Edmondson in the second half, and that was a bad combination for No. 5-ranked Guntersville.

Edmondson ran for 294 yards, including 214 in the second half, and four touchdowns on 35 carries as the Wildcats posted an important 31-13 Class 5A Region 8 victory. It was Edmondson’s fourth 200-rushing yard plus game of the season, and he moved into third place on Scottsboro’s career rushing leader list during the contest.

For his efforts, Edmondson has been named the Jackson County Sentinel Prep Football Honor Roll Player of the Week. He is the first two-time winner of the season.
