The Alabama Republican Party has recently began an initiative to reach out to minority voters across the state.
State Minority Outreach Director, Troy Towns, is making great strides in the Alabama Republican Party's minority outreach program.
Troy is continuing his work within the African-American community by reaching out to various faith and business leaders. His breakfast meetings with pastors from various faiths have become a staple of our morning routines at the party headquarters. The conservative principle of "vote your values" is laying a solid foundation to encourage Republican voting within minority communities.
Troy is also reaching out to Alabama's Hispanic community. On August 18, Troy participated in a political debate against representatives of the Democratic Party, on issues and subjects related to our state's Hispanic population. The debate was hosted and televised by AlabamaTV, Alabama's premiere bilingual network. The debate ended with the consensus that the Alabama Republican Party undoubtedly represents the faith based convictions and moral values so deeply held within the Hispanic community.
