On Saturday, Aug. 31, the Jackson County Republicans opened a new headquarters at 604 E. Laurel Street in Scottsboro. There was a large crowd to celebrate the new building and refreshments were served to all.
The headquarters will be used to educate the voters of Jackson County, help people register to vote and make campaign materials available for the public. Signs and other merchandise will be available to anyone interested. No purchase will be required but donations will be accepted.
“This is a good place for citizens to get involved with the Republican Party by registering to vote, finding information about candidates and getting merchandise. It’s not only about the county but also about the national level. There is also a lot of information available online at the state Republican Party website,” said Jackson County Republican Executive Committee Chairman Jason Davidson.
“We’re very excited about the opening of our 2024 headquarters. The Republican women have done an excellent job preparing for today. I believe this is the best headquarters we’ve ever had and I’m looking forward to November,” said Senator Steve Livingston.
“This facility is dedicated to advancing Republican ideals and electing Donald J. Trump president of the United States. I’m thrilled and excited for this beautiful facility and encourage all citizens of Jackson County who have our best interest at heart to come by and vote for Trump,” said Representative Mike Kirkland.
The Jackson County Executive Committee meets every second Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the VFW Home on Heroes Drive in Scottsboro.
The Jackson County Republican Women meet every third Monday at 11 a.m. in the meeting room of the Alfa Insurance Agency on John T. Reid Parkway in Scottsboro.
