The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office  has asked for assistance in locating 30-year-old Chasidy Wilcox (above), who is believed to have been kidnapped by her husband Alan Wilcox Jr., who is wanted for the double murder of Chasidy's parents, Daniel and Latisha Andrews.

CENTRE, Ala — Warrants for Capital Murder and First Degree Kidnapping have been issued for Jeffrey Alan Wilcox, Jr., age 30, of Calhoun County. The Cherokee County Major Crimes unit is currently leading the investigation with assistance from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office and other state, federal, and local agencies.

Wilcox is sought in connection to a double homicide in the southern part of Cherokee County on Sunday afternoon. It’s believed that Wilcox kidnapped his wife, 30-year-old Chasidy Wilcox after committing the murders.

The bodies of Latisha and Daniel Andrews were discovered around 1:30 pm at a house in a rural area on County Road 19, between Centre and Piedmont. The victims are believed to be the in-laws of Wilcox. Their daughter, Chasidy, is suspected to have been kidnapped by Wilcox.

According to a release from both the Calhoun and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was last known to be driving a red 2011 Chevrolet Z71 with license plate number 11FR476.

The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous, and should not be approached

In a statement released earlier today, Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver urged that anyone coming in contact with, or seeing the suspect, the truck, or the victim, should immediately call 911.
