NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The rest of the 2020 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament will be canceled due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus. The announcement was made on Thursday by SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey.

Kentucky is now the only 2020 SEC Champion.

The SEC also stated that all regular season sporting events will be suspended until March 30, when the league will re-evaluate the situation.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the risk of being exposed to the coronavirus (COVID-19) for most people is low. The CDC recommends taking simple, everyday steps to avoid catching or spreading respiratory diseases, including COVID-19. These include covering your cough or sneeze and thoroughly washing or sanitizing your hands. Call your doctor and stay home if you are sick.
