Radio personalities Rick Burgess and Bill "Bubba" Bussey announced Thursday morning that this will be the final year of the show's 30-year run.

The syndicated broadcast will continue to be a part of morning radio on 101.7 The Torch through the end of the year.

"We have decided this will be the final year of the Rick & Bubba Show," Burgess told listeners Thursday morning.

The pair told their radio audience they will finish out the year and celebrate the memories of their 30 years on the air -- a rarity in radio or any other medium.

The show is heard on some 60 radios stations. No date for the final show was announced.
