DOGTOWN, Ala.—Last Thursday, July 28, agents with the DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Unit along with sheriff’s deputies went to a residence on county road 271 in Dogtown to serve a felony distribution warrant on Ronald Dewayne Jones, 36 of Fort Payne. In this case, one warrant lead to several arrests.
When law enforcement arrived on the scene, there were multiple people standing in the front yard of the house. While securing the scene, three subjects were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
After searching the suspects, deputies and agents were given consent to search the residence where they found controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
Anthony Brandon Burrows, 29 of Fort Payne, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; Ronald Dewayne Jones was arrested and charged with the felony distribution of controlled substance warrant as well as unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; William Lonnie Jones, 36 of Fort Payne, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; Rustin Michael Kruckenburg, 29 of Fort Payne was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said in a statement, “I would like to thank the agents of the DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Unit and deputies that work alongside each other to investigate and arrest drug offenders in our county. I would also like to thank the concerned citizens that continue to call in information about drugs in their communities.”
