Fort Payne native Hunter Hawkins captured the Alabama Golf Association’s 37th State Mid-Amateur Championship at Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta Sunday.
Hawkins shot a three-day total of 202 for 14-under par. Hawkins had rounds of 68-66-68 during the three day event.
Hawkins won the championship by four shots over Jackson King, Blaise Wilson and Casey O’Toole.
Seth Dodd from Fort Payne finished 68th with a total of 234 At 18-over par.
Daniel Troxtel and Sean Semmons from Fort Payne competed in the championship but failed to make the cut.
