SYLVANIA, Ala. — When Roger and Deana Wigley bought their property on Blue Pond Road in Sylvania, their desire was to have a family gathering space for their children and grandchildren to enjoy. Never once did Roger Wigley think that place would be the old pole barn that he had constructed on the property.
“He had his horses in there one time and I saw the potential,” said Deana Wigley.
“I asked if he could enclose one side of the barn for us to have a place for 'old-time' Thanksgiving, Christmas and family gatherings; once we started we couldn't stop.”
What once was a small enclosed space has now became an elegant event venue. “We realized that living in the country that there was a great need for a facility that could provide the glamour of a big city venue” said Wigley.
It is their goal to provide a rustic structure with an elegant feel. The venue is available for Corporate Meetings, Banquets, Proms, Weddings and other social events.
As you walk thru the doors of the majestic building, you will notice the exquisitely decorated venue is perfect for any occasion. The barn features a complete kitchen for catering with private entrance.
A dressing room for the bride features hair stylist chairs and makeup mirrors complete with own personal entrance. The groom and groomsmen have their own personal space to calm their jitters.
The Barn features a large indoor and outdoor dance floor complete with sound system and lighting. Ceremonies are available inside or outside the property.
The outside venue is perfect for evening weddings as the sun goes down over the Blue Pond complete with lighted fountain. Fairy tale lighting will add that special feature to any outdoor wedding. The possibilities are endless on this beautiful property.
This Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2-4 pm the Wigleys will open their doors for the community to see the fruits of their labor, at their Barn on Blue Pond Open House.
