Fort Payne man arrested for Child Pornography

By Staff Reports

FORT PAYNE, Ala. From the Office of DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden: Yesterday afternoon (February 7th), DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and the Alabama Bureau Investigations made an arrest after executing a search warrant regarding Child Pornography.

The warrant was executed on Browder Road in Fort Payne around 1 pm after the Alabama Bureau of Investigations received information that the subject possibly had explicit images of minors. The images were located at the residence.

Taylor Browder (27 of Fort Payne) was arrested on four counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He remains in the DeKalb County Detention Center on a $60,000 bond.

DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said: “People who possess these images have no place in our communities. All too often, those who have things like this will eventually act on their fantasies.”

“Protecting our children is our highest priority. I want to thank our investigators and the Alabama Bureau of Investigations for acting swiftly in this matter,” he said.

“God Bless,” said Sheriff Welden.
