HUNTSVILLE — The Alabama Department of Transportation advises motorists to expect periodic delays on Alabama 117 as a contractor sets arches on the new bridge over the West Fork of Little River in Mentone. 

Weather permitting, intermittent lane closures will be possible from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 and Friday, Jan. 17, and again on Wednesday, Jan. 22, and Thursday, Jan. 23. 

Wright Brothers Construction Co. of Charleston, Tenn. is the contractor on the $5.7 million bridge project.
