DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. — On Tuesday night, the DeKalb County Republican Party held their regular meeting to elect new County Party Officers.

The party elected the following people as the 2019-20 officers: David Gulledge (Chairman), D.L. Stiefel (Vice Chairman), Robert Crumley (Secretary), and Nick Jones (Treasurer). DeKalb County’s GOP Executive Officers serve a term of two years.

At the meeting, the local GOP recapped the recent elections, which saw a tidal wave of support across the county for the Republican Party, most notably their big wins in the races for DeKalb County Sheriff (Nick Welden) Circuit Clerk (Todd Greeson), and DeKalb County Commission – District 4 (Lester Black).

Additionally, Republicans won every local race on the ballot in DeKalb County.

Newly-elected Chairman David Gulledge said he was both humbled and excited to be named as the new Chairman of the DeKalb County Republican Party. Gulledge encouraged everyone to continue to promote conservative values in society and government.

It was also announced that the local GOP will host its annual Christmas party fundraiser on Tuesday, December 4 at the DeKalb Theatre in Fort Payne. To purchase a ticket for this event, please see any member of the DeKalb County Republican Executive Committee.
