Charles Centers has announced his candidacy for Rainsville City Council Place 1.

“I graduated from Albertville High School in 1982 and moved to Fort Payne, Alabama, in 1983. In 1989, I married Felecia Edmondson. We have two daughters, Meghan Bethune and Emily Phillips.” Phillips said he have spent 35 years in public service:

Fort Payne Rescue Squad 1982-1989

Fort Payne Fire Department 1989-1990

DeKalb Ambulance Service 1990-2003

Rainsville Rescue Squad 1989-1996

Rainsville Police Department 1995-2016

Affiliate Faculty American Heart Association 1983-2001

Red Cross CPR Instructor 1996-present

Defense Driving Instructor 1996-present

Pastor Bailey Chapel Church 2024-present

“I feel my 21 years as a Rainsville police officer and chief would well qualify me to serve as a council member. If elected, my plans are to hold to my conservative values, belief in small government, and help keep a balanced budget. I would greatly appreciate your vote and support,” Centers said.
